The last section of vacant land on Dalton Drive at Maroochydore has been sold.Final vacant site on Dalton Drive sells for about $2.5 million
The last section of vacant land on Dalton Drive at Maroochydore has been sold.
It was the missing link between Arcare Aged Care, the new Officeworks development and the $48 million Bunnings sites on the southern side between Sugar Road and Maroochy Boulevard.
The land is in close proximity to the new Maroochydore CBD, to be developed on the 60ha Horton Park Golf Course.
“All the lots have been sold,” CBRE’s Brendan Robins said. “This is a direct result of the surge in buyer activity over recent months.
“Enquiry has increased for all types of real estate, residential as well as built commercial and development sites.”
The 7,000sq m Dalton Drive site has been purchased by an interstate investor for what is believed to be a price in excess of $2.5 million.
The site is on two titles of about 3,700sq m and 3,300sq m. It can accommodate a wide range of uses including showrooms, other commercial buildings and residential uses.
The 14,000sq m Bunnings super hardware store is under construction and due for completion in October this year. Work has started on the new Officeworks development on the adjoining corner and the 4.346ha site opposite Bunnings has been acquired by the Woolworths-backed Masters hardware store.
CBRE’s Rem Rafter said there was considerable commercial development ahead on the Sunshine Coast, with almost 2,500sq m of new stock to be built this year.
Larger levels of development are still in the pipeline, including the 30,000sq m expansion of Sunshine Plaza and a Coles neighbourhood centre at Sippy Downs, while Stockland has plans to expand its existing centre at Caloundra.
