MAROOCHYDORE is rapidly evolving with a number of key projects starting to genuinely form a number of epicentres within the CBD precinct. The Maroochy boulevard precinct encompassing the Emporio development, Sunshine Cove and the Maroochydore Homemaker Centre on the adjacent side of the road is one of the largest infrastructure changes that Maroochydore has undergone in recent years.
Century 21 on Duporth principal Damien Said believed both Emporio and Sunshine Cove offer a wonderfully diverse range of residential opportunities. “These encompass an additional 1500- plus residences which is the equivalent of many small towns in its own right within close proximity to both the existing infrastructure and the rapidly developing surrounding commercial opportunities.
“The cosmopolitan market feel of Emporio to the stunning new Homemaker Centre will continue to see Maroochydore recognised as a major commercial centre of south-east Queensland. “The Aerodrome Rd precinct has potential to become a multi-level corridor with the new draft town plan soon to be released which offers some exciting possibilities on one of our main arterial access roads.
“The Horton Park development is set to be the culmination in a real coming of age for the Maroochydore business centre.”
Mr Said Believed property prices, along with rental demand, will increase with growing infrastructure and a need for further accommodation as the Coast continues to grow. “It will be an interesting challenge for our councils to manage the balance between natural beauty and laid-back coastal feel we all love with inevitable growth. Riverfront locations along Duporth Ave and the Coastal strip of cotton tree will become highly sought as the CBD precincts slowly move away from the beach and riverfront strips.
“The next three to five years will see the landscape of Maroochydore potentially change quite significantly with the potential for the area to become one of the major business centres outside of Brisbane. With good management of this change and ideals of the coast maintained I am very excited with what the future holds.”
